At Shinju-Kai, we are proud to have been the only organisation providing Aikido classes for the Class 3A elderly in Singapore.
The nature of Aikido, which is based on the fundamental principles of harmony and mutual respect, allows it to be suited for practice by both the young and old alike. The senior citizens' class aims to train practitioners to stay healthy and active through the art of Aikido.
Aikido techniques rely on timing, redirection of force and body mechanics rather than brute strength, making it ideal for older practitioners.
