ASK is the first Aikido school in the world to offer instruction to pre-school children through aikiForest. Known as the brainchild of passionate individuals who practice Aikido as a way of life; they believe that Aikido has to be shared with more people beyond the dojo, so that more can benefit. Aikido is creatively re-interpreted from its traditional format, making it contemporary and inspiring for children.
Its curriculum is a significant breakthrough and is unrivalled in the local martial arts industry. Through its creative and unconventional approach, aikiForest is also able to accept students as young as 3 years old. The teaching aids and technical syllabus is age and ability specific, allowing for a structured development from motor skills to social emotional learning.
Art of Aikido (AA) was founded by Aloyseus Lee Sensei (5th Dan), Alexander Lee Sensei (5th Dan) and Instructor Dennis Tan (3rd Dan), all of whom, have devoted most of their lives to the study of Aikido.
AOA aims to impart the impart the most genuine Japanese culture, traditions, and etiquette associated with Aikido as a traditional martial art, in a way that is relevant and makes a positive impact on the current generation.
Aloyseus Sensei and Alexander Sensei, both of whom have more than ten years of professional experience in coaching and more than 25 years of practice, follow in the footsteps of Philip Lee Shihan, one of Southeast Asia's most prominent and highest- ranking Shihans, who was responsible for overseeing the growth of 60 local training centres locally and close to 30 satellite training centres around within the region.
AOA is affiliated with Aikido Shinju-Kai, Southeast Asia's largest independent Aikido association with an outstanding track record of more than three decades within the Aikido community. ASK is also an official organization recognized by Aikido World Headquarters in Japan. To date, Shinju-Kai has amassed a cadre team of more than 70 instructors, 110 assistants, and a member base of more than 20,000 practitioners.
As an AOA student, you will benefit from learning from a curriculum based on the Shinju-Kai's teaching methodology with proven track records, which will help you and your child develop as well-rounded Budoka (Warriors), equipped with traits and values essential to your personal development and essential life skills.
